Somewhere In Time - Episode Six

Scene: In the bathroom,

Carla finishes her business quickly. But takes some time to look around the bathroom for an escape path. The window is boarded up with plywood. It is completely dark with the door closed. There's no way out. She starts looking around the cabinets for anything she might be able to use and finds nothing. Carla's hopes are dashed.

Carla: (dismayed) Oh Lord, please, please help me... What am I going to do?

Carla takes a deep breath and exits the bathroom, holding the candle carefully.

Carla: (thinking) maybe I can shove this candle on his face...

She starts to turn the doorknob and push the door and is startled by Mark who is standing by it. He takes the candle from her quickly before she can do anything. Mona is standing next to them.

Mona: Talk to Kuya. Tell him who you are..

Carla: Umm... Can.. can we talk, please ? ….

The bedroom is in darkness except for the candle and the occasional flashes of light from the lightning between the wood on the window.

Somewhere In Time - Episode Five

Scene: Beach house. Night time.

Carla is still tied up, sitting on the couch in the dark. She is praying. Mona is sitting next to her.

Mark walks in carrying a candle and a plate with a sandwich, his expression unreadable. Mark sets the candle and plate.

Carla: W-why bother to feed me if you're going to kill me anyway?

Mark turns around and starts to walk away, carrying the plate with him..

Carla: Wait... wait... s-sorry...

Mark: Do you want to eat or not?

Carla's stomach starts to grumble.

Carla: I do, I'm very hungry...uh... how do I … uh.. can you untie me?

Mark looks at her suspiciously.

Carla: Please... my wrists are very sore...they hurt...

Mona: Kuya, please untie her. Look at how red her wrists are... Please...

Mark unties Carla's hands after staring at her intently for several seconds. He opens a water bottle and sets it down too. He sits on the chair opposite her.

Somewhere In Time - Episode 4

Mark: (shaking his head ) It's too late. 

Mark is in front of Carla pointing the gun at her, clenching and unclenching his hands. 

Carla closes her eyes, waiting to be shot. She can't move from being tied up. 

Carla: (praying) Oh my God, Oh my God... help, please... 

Mona: (screaming) KUYA! STOP!! ... Kuya...don't... !! 

Suddenly, his cell phone rings. He sees who calls and without taking his eyes off Carla's face, takes a deep breath and answers the phone. .

Mark: Boss, (relieved)… yes, I have her. 

After a short pause, Mark takes a picture of Carla and sends on his phone. He walks away, still talking to Mr Beltran.. 

Mark: .. okay boss... sure, no problem....

Carla is trying to listen but can't hear the rest of what Mark is saying. The sound of the ocean waves are getting louder and louder.

Later, Mark comes back to the room.

Carla looks at his poker face and the gun in his hand.

Carla: W-w-what are you going to do? Are you going to kill me? 

Mark: ...yes... 

Somewhere In Time- Episode 3

Scene: Back to the present. Mark is regaining consciousness in the car. 

Mark: (small voice) Mona? 

Mark is closes his eyes and holds his throbbing head. He doesn't see anybody in the passenger seat next to him.

Mark: Nooo! I'm hallucinating! Dammit! Get it together! You can't screw up again! 

Mark gets out of the car and almost falls down the cliff. He is completely surprised at the position of the car. He pushes the car manually for a couple of feet and then gets in. He drives away.

Mark has a determined look on his face. Mona is next to him in the car but he can't see or hear her. She looks very worried.

Mark: (thinking) Where did she go? I have to find her first. I need to do what I came here to do..

Mona: Kuya Mark, please stop. Please change your mind. Think about what you are doing..

Mark is driving fast and recklessly. He passes several cars and swerves around them.

Mark: (thinking) Dont... Don't freak out... Keep cool... Don't second guess yourself. ..you can do this..

Mona: No you can't Kuya Mark, You can't kill anyone.. That's not you...(crying) 

Somewhere In Time - Episode 2

Mark is still unconscious in the drivers seat. The car is heading towards the cliff. 

Mona appears on the passenger seat next to the driver.

Mona: (urgently) Kuya! Kuya Mark! Kuya Mark! Wake up!! 

Mark is starting to come to.

Mona: Kuya! Turn the wheel to the left !!!! 

Mark: Huh...

Mona: Turn to your left! LEFT!!!

Mark quickly turns the steering to the left. The car skids loudly until it's right at the edge. An inch more and it would have fallen down the cliff. Mark is inside the car half-conscious. Both his hands are cradling his head that is hurting bad. 

Thru his throbbing head, he squints at the passenger seat and sees a blurry form.

Mark: (small voice) Mona?

Begin Flashback:

Scene: An old fashioned two story home in the province.

An 9 year old boy is in the living room by himself playing with a few toy cars on the old wooden floor. He hears some footsteps.

Mark: Mama is here!

Karla ay isang matalino, well-mannered at nakapagtapos ng abugasya. Dahil sa angking husay kahit sa murang edad kabilang na siya sa isang tanyag na law firm. Cristina ay kapatid ni Karla na tahimik at relihiyosa. Mas pinaiiral niya ang puso sa mga desisyon. Kahit na kabilang sa mayamang pamilya hindi siya makikitaan ng bahid ng rangya. Mas kuntento siyang mamuhay ng simple at tumulong sa mga nangangailangan. Nakapagtapos siya ng agriculture at mahilig makihalubilo sa tauhan ng cacao farm nila.
